Our analysis found Western Governors University to be the most popular school for business students who want to pursue a master’s degree in Utah. WGU is a private not-for-profit institution located in Salt Lake City, Utah. The school has a large population, and it awarded 5,838 master’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Around 53% of those degree recipients were women.
Interested in an online degree? Then you definitely want to check out WGU. Every graduate student at the school took at least one class online.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Utah. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Popular Business Master’s Degree Schools in Utah list. Located in Salt Lake City, Utah, the large public school awarded 641 diplomas to qualifed master’s degree students in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 30% were women.
Some students may be able to take online graduate classes at U of U. In 2019-2020 about 68% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
The excellent master’s degree programs at Utah State University helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular business schools in Utah. Utah State University is a large public school located in Logan, Utah that handed out 325 master’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Around 28% of those degree recipients were women.
USU does offer online graduate classes for certain degree levels. In 2019-2020 about 52% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
Out of the 10 schools in Utah that were part of this year’s ranking, Brigham Young University - Provo landed the # 4 spot on the list. BYU is a private not-for-profit institution located in Provo, Utah. The school has a large population, and it awarded 289 master’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Around 27% of those degree recipients were women.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online graduate classes at BYU. In 2019-2020 about 72% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Southern Utah University. It ranked #5 on our 2023 Most Popular Business Master’s Degree Schools in Utah list. Located in Cedar City, Utah, the fairly large public school handed out 151 master’s degree awards in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 38% were women.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online graduate classes at Southern Utah University. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 96% of graduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
Utah Valley University ranked #6 on this year’s Most Popular Business Master’s Degree Schools in Utah list. Orem, Utah is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out master’s degrees to 124 students in 2020-2021.

With a ranking of #7, Weber State University did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for business students working on their master’s degree. WSU is a large public school situated in Ogden, Utah. It awarded 109 master’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 37% were women.
WSU does offer online graduate classes for certain degree levels. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 80% took at least some of their classes online.
Westminster College Utah did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for business students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #8 on the list. Westminster College Salt Lake is located in Salt Lake City, Utah and has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 72 master’s degrees to qualified students.
Around 46% of those degree recipients were women.
You may have the opportunity to take online graduate classes at Westminster College Salt Lake. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 9% of graduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
With a ranking of #9, Dixie State University did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for business students working on their master’s degree. Dixie State College is a public institution located in Saint George, Utah. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 16 master’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Around 31% of those degree recipients were women.
Online graduate courses are available at Dixie State College, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 27% took at least some of their classes online.
Broadview University - West Jordan ranked #10 on this year’s Most Popular Business Master’s Degree Schools in Utah list. Located in West Jordan, Utah, the very small private for-profit school awarded 1 diplomas to qualifed master’s degree students in 2020-2021.
Around 100% of those degree recipients were women.
