Our analysis found University of Houston to be the most popular school for accounting students who want to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Texas. Located in the large city of Houston, UH is a public school with a fairly large student population.

Women make up 54% of the accounting majors at the school.

After completing their Bachelor's Degree, accounting graduates from UH carry an average student debt load of $15,884.

Out of the 66 schools in Texas that were part of this year’s ranking, Texas A&M University - College Station landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the city of College Station, Texas A&M College Station is a public college with a fairly large student population.

Women make up 55% of the accounting majors at the school.

The average monthly payment of a loan this size is about $479, assuming that the borrower is on a 10-year repayment plan.

For students who choose a 10-year repayment plan, the average monthly student loan payment is $437.

The University of Texas at San Antonio landed the #6 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular bachelor’s degree accounting programs. UTSA is a fairly large public school located in the large city of San Antonio.

Of the 191 students majoring in accounting at UTSA, 51% are male and 49% are female.

The average amount in student loans that accounting majors at UTSA take out while working on their Bachelor's Degree is $20,275. When it comes time to repay the loan, graduates who are on a 10-year repayment plan pay an average monthly payment of $165.

Texas State University ranked #9 on this year’s Most Popular Accounting Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Texas list. Located in the small city of San Marcos, Texas State is a public college with a very large student population.
