Our 2023 rankings named Western Governors University the most popular school in the Rocky Mountains Region for accounting students working on their bachelor’s degree. WGU is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the large suburb of Salt Lake City.

About 66% of the students majoring in accounting at the school are women while 34% are male.

The average amount in student loans that accounting majors at WGU take out while working on their Bachelor's Degree is $18,134.

Out of the 33 schools in the Rocky Mountains Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Brigham Young University - Provo landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the midsize city of Provo, BYU is a private not-for-profit school with a very large student population.

About 33% of the students majoring in accounting at the school are women while 67% are male.

After completing their Bachelor's Degree, accounting graduates from BYU carry an average student debt load of $11,947.

A rank of #3 on this year’s list means Colorado State University - Global Campus is a great place for accounting students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the large city of Aurora, Colorado State University - Global Campus is a public college with a medium-sized student population.
