Our 2023 rankings named Harvard University the most popular school in the New England Region for business students working on their graduate certificate. Located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the large private not-for-profit school handed out 812 graduate certificate awards in 2020-2021.
By the time they get their graduate certificate, students from this school have racked up an average of $19,755 in student loans. Of those students who received their degree, 49% were women.
You may have the opportunity to take online graduate classes at Harvard. During the 2019-2020 year, about 96% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
You’ll be in good company if you attend Southern New Hampshire University. The school came in at #2 on this year’s Most Popular Business Graduate Certificate Schools in the New England Region list. SNHU is located in Manchester, New Hampshire and has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 253 graduate certificates to qualified students.
Around 51% of those degree recipients were women.

University of Rhode Island came in at #8 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Business Graduate Certificate Schools in the New England Region ranking. URI is a fairly large public school situated in Kingston, Rhode Island. It awarded 34 graduate certificates in 2020-2021.
On average, graduate certificate students take out $22,817 in loans while pursuing their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 68% were women.

Post University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for business students to get a graduate certificate. It came in at #9 on the list. Located in Waterbury, Connecticut, the fairly large private for-profit school awarded 31 diplomas to qualifed graduate certificate students in 2020-2021.
On average, graduate certificate students take out $28,300 in loans while pursuing their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 61% were women.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since Post University does offer online graduate classes for certain majors. During the 2019-2020 year, about 96% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
University of Maine landed the #10 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular graduate certificate business programs. UMaine is a fairly large public school situated in Orono, Maine. It awarded 27 graduate certificates in 2020-2021.
Around 44% of those degree recipients were women.
UMaine does have options available for those who want to take online graduate classes. You will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your specific major. During the 2019-2020 year, about 74% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
University of Massachusetts - Boston ranked #11 on this year’s Most Popular Business Graduate Certificate Schools in the New England Region list. This fairly large public school is located in Boston, Massachusetts, and it awarded 22 graduate certificates in 2020-2021.
Around 55% of those degree recipients were women.

Located in Northfield, Vermont, the small private not-for-profit school awarded 19 diplomas to qualifed graduate certificate students in 2020-2021.

University of New Hampshire - Main Campus came in at #13 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Business Graduate Certificate Schools in the New England Region ranking. Located in Durham, New Hampshire, the fairly large public school handed out 19 graduate certificate awards in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 37% were women.

Granite State College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for business students to get a graduate certificate. It came in at #15 on the list. Concord, New Hampshire is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The public school handed out graduate certificates to 17 students in 2020-2021.
Around 65% of those degree recipients were women.
GSC does offer online graduate classes for certain degree levels. During the 2019-2020 year, about 92% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
With a ranking of #15, Bentley University did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for business students working on their graduate certificate. Located in Waltham, Massachusetts, the medium-sized private not-for-profit school awarded 17 diplomas to qualifed graduate certificate students in 2020-2021.
Graduate Certificate recipients from Bentley accumulate an average of $23,975 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 65% were women.
If you are interested in distance education, Bentley is an excellent choice, since graduate classes are offered online.
University of Massachusetts Amherst did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for business students to get a graduate certificate. It came in at #15 on the list. UMass Amherst is a large public school situated in Amherst, Massachusetts. It awarded 17 graduate certificates in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 41% were women.
You may have the opportunity to take online graduate classes at UMass Amherst. In 2019-2020 about 82% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
With a ranking of #18, Central Connecticut State University did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for business students working on their graduate certificate. New Britain, Connecticut is the setting for this medium-sized institution of higher learning. The public school handed out graduate certificates to 14 students in 2020-2021.
