Our 2023 rankings named Colorado Technical University - Colorado Springs the most popular school in the Rocky Mountains Region for business students working on their doctor’s degree. Colorado Technical University - Colorado Springs is a private for-profit institution located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The school has a large population, and it awarded 95 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Around 31% of those degree recipients were women.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online graduate classes at Colorado Technical University - Colorado Springs. In 2019-2020 about 100% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Utah. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Popular Business Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region list. U of U is located in Salt Lake City, Utah and has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 20 doctor’s degrees to qualified students.
Of those students who received their degree, 20% were women.

A rank of #4 on this year’s list means Colorado State University - Fort Collins is a great place for business students working on their doctor’s degree. Colorado State University - Fort Collins is a large public school located in Fort Collins, Colorado that handed out 8 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 13% were women.
Online graduate courses are available at Colorado State, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. In fact, around 67% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
A rank of #5 on this year’s list means University of Wyoming is a great place for business students working on their doctor’s degree. UW is a fairly large public school situated in Laramie, Wyoming. It awarded 5 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Around 20% of those degree recipients were women.
One thing to take note of is that UW does offer online graduate classes in some areas. During the 2019-2020 year, about 72% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
University of Denver did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for business students to get a doctor’s degree. It came in at #6 on the list. DU is located in Denver, Colorado and has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 4 doctor’s degrees to qualified students.
You may have the opportunity to take online graduate classes at DU. In fact, around 84% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
Colorado School of Mines came in at #6 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Business Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region ranking. Mines is a medium-sized public school situated in Golden, Colorado. It awarded 4 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
One thing to take note of is that Mines does offer online graduate classes in some areas. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 21% of graduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
University of Colorado Denver/Anschutz Medical Campus landed the #8 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular doctor’s degree business programs. University of Colorado Denver/Anschutz Medical Campus is a large public school located in Denver, Colorado that handed out 1 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
One thing to take note of is that CU Anschutz does offer online graduate classes in some areas. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 75% took at least some of their classes online.

University of Colorado at Colorado Springs ranked #9 on this year’s Most Popular Business Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region list.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online graduate classes at UCCS. During the 2019-2020 year, about 58% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
Utah State University ranked #9 on this year’s Most Popular Business Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region list.
One thing to take note of is that USU does offer online graduate classes in some areas. In fact, around 52% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
