Our analysis found St. John Fisher College to be the most popular school for business students who want to pursue a doctor’s degree in New York. Fisher is a small private not-for-profit school situated in Rochester, New York. It awarded 46 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Around 65% of those degree recipients were women.
You may have the opportunity to take online graduate classes at Fisher. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 25% of graduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
Our analysis found Columbia University in the City of New York to be the most popular school for business students who want to pursue a doctor’s degree in New York. New York, New York is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out doctor’s degrees to 46 students in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 43% were women.
Columbia does have options available for those who want to take online graduate classes. You will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your specific major. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 91% of graduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.

A rank of #3 on this year’s list means Cornell University is a great place for business students working on their doctor’s degree. Cornell is a large private not-for-profit school situated in Ithaca, New York. It awarded 33 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 55% were women.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend The Graduate Center, CUNY. It ranked #5 on our 2023 Most Popular Business Doctor’s Degree Schools in New York list. Located in New York, New York, the medium-sized public school awarded 25 diplomas to qualifed doctor’s degree students in 2020-2021.
Around 36% of those degree recipients were women.
