Our 2023 rankings named University of Phoenix - Arizona the most popular school in the Southwest Region for business students working on their graduate certificate. This large private for-profit school is located in Tempe, Arizona, and it awarded 823 graduate certificates in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 77% were women.
During the 2019-2020 year, about 99% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
You’ll be in good company if you attend Texas A&M University - College Station. The school came in at #2 on this year’s Most Popular Online Business Graduate Certificate Schools in the Southwest Region list. This large public school is located in College Station, Texas, and it awarded 106 graduate certificates in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 52% were women.
To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 23% of graduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.

A rank of #5 on this year’s list means Strayer University - Texas is a great place for business students working on their graduate certificate. Located in Austin, Texas, the small private for-profit school awarded 21 diplomas to qualifed graduate certificate students in 2020-2021.
Around 48% of those degree recipients were women.

Grand Canyon University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for business students to get a graduate certificate. It came in at #6 on the list. Located in Phoenix, Arizona, the large private for-profit school awarded 19 diplomas to qualifed graduate certificate students in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 47% were women.
Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 96% took at least some of their classes online.
University of Arizona ranked #7 on this year’s Most Popular Online Business Graduate Certificate Schools in the Southwest Region list. Tucson, Arizona is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out graduate certificates to 44 students in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 55% were women.
During the 2019-2020 year, about 37% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
New Mexico State University - Main Campus came in at #7 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Online Business Graduate Certificate Schools in the Southwest Region ranking. ASU - Skysong is located in Scottsdale, Arizona and has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 10 graduate certificates to qualified students.
