Our analysis found North Shore Community College to be the best school for business students who want to pursue a undergraduate certificate in the New England Region .
Full-time students from Massachusetts pay an average of $5,352 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend North Shore Community College. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $10,920. On average, undergraduate certificate students take out $13,908 in loans while pursuing their degree.
One thing to take note of is that North Shore Community College does offer online classes in some areas. In fact, around 64% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
Out of the 10 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Boston University landed the # 2 spot on the list.
Boston U does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $59,816. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid.
Online courses are available at Boston U, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. In 2019-2020 about 2% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
The excellent undergraduate certificate programs at Roxbury Community College helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the best business schools in the New England Region .
In-state students pay an average of $5,784 in tuition and fees if they attend Roxbury Community College full time. Out-of-state students pay an average of $11,088.
One thing to take note of is that Roxbury Community College does offer online classes in some areas. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 98% of undergraduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Springfield Technical Community College. It ranked #4 on our list.

Depending on your major, you may be able to take online classes at STCC. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 93% took at least some of their classes online.
A rank of #5 on this year’s list means Community College of Rhode Island is a great place for business students working on their undergraduate certificate.
In-state students pay an average of $4,980 in tuition and fees if they attend CCRI full time. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $13,260. On average, undergraduate certificate students take out $11,346 in loans while pursuing their degree.
CCRI does have options available for those who want to take online classes. You will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your specific major. During the 2019-2020 year, about 95% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
Gateway Community College landed the #6 spot in the rankings for the best undergraduate certificate business programs.
Students from Connecticut who attend Gateway Community College full time pay an average of $4,496 in tuition and fees. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $13,448.

Students from Vermont who attend Northern Vermont University full time pay an average of $12,804 in tuition and fees. Out-of-state students pay an average of $26,892.
You may have the opportunity to take online classes at Northern Vermont University. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 46% took at least some of their classes online.
Three Rivers Community College landed the #8 spot in the rankings for the best undergraduate certificate business programs.
Full-time students from Connecticut pay an average of $4,596 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend Three Rivers Community College. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $13,548.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since Three Rivers Community College does offer online classes for certain majors. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 94% of undergraduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
With a ranking of #9, University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth did quite well on this year’s best schools for business students working on their undergraduate certificate.
Full-time students from Massachusetts pay an average of $14,408 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend UMass Dartmouth. Out-of-state students pay an average of $30,153.
Some students may be able to take online classes at UMass Dartmouth. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 99% took at least some of their classes online.
Eastern Maine Community College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for business students to get an undergraduate certificate. It came in at #10 on the list.
Students from Maine who attend Eastern Maine Community College full time pay an average of $3,865 in tuition and fees. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $6,745. Undergraduate Certificate recipients from Eastern Maine Community College accumulate an average of $17,328 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.
Eastern Maine Community College does offer online classes for certain degree levels. In 2019-2020 about 34% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
